The working principle of an engine mainly involves converting one form of energy into mechanical energy. There are many types of engines, including internal combustion engines, external combustion engines, steam engines, jet engines, and electric motors. Taking automobile engines as an example, most of them use a four-stroke working principle, namely the intake stroke, compression stroke, power stroke, and exhaust stroke. In these four strokes, the engine mixes fuel with air and burns it. The heat energy generated drives the piston to move, and then this linear motion is converted into rotational motion through the connecting rod and crankshaft to output power. In addition, the engine also includes key parts such as the crank-connecting rod mechanism and the valve mechanism, which work together to ensure that the engine can work efficiently and stably.
